HaHa I just blew up my MMM from driving in puddles...now there will be a truly water proof ESC on the market. Im sure the price wont be very nice for my wallet though. Maybe I should get the old MMM fixed, sell it and use the money toward the new MMM....

What I really like about it is that there is finally a true 1/8th scale waterproof ESC. Hope HW make a waterproof 150a ESC too.
the XERUN SC8 Pro is 4S Capable and waterproof already. it's also Sensored.
After the MMP and all it's BEC issues with high-resolution/speed servos, i'll stick with Hobbywing, thanks.

Do you mean the SCT-Pro? Which hobbywing doesn't advertise as being the least bit waterproof. It might say splash proof in the manual but that isn't waterproof to me, meaning if you put it in a glass of water it'll probably fry.

The SC8 is a sensorless only ESC and does come in a waterproof version.

Simple $20 castle external BEC resolves any ESC BEC issue's then castle's are hard to beat and they have a dual mode unlike hobbywings (new V3 ESC's I think have dual mode but they cost double what a MMP cost's).

I've got that in both my Summits now with the HW 2000kv 4074 motor you can get packaged with. Works very well on 4S. Not sensored, but no issue crawling if you aren't hardcore crawler like myself. Here's a video of it on my test run which shows it can go slow too.
